For those who wish to join us at a particular spot throughout the route please contact info@joesgiants.co.uk

We will be walking at a steady pace to ensure we can stay together as a family, supporting one another, and getting to know each other better.

First Aid, Mental Health First Aiders, volunteers

We have a wealth of experience volunteering for our event. If you have any issues regarding your own mental health, any first aid concerns, or want to ask general questions, all our volunteers will be wearing a ‘high vis’ and are qualified in at least one of the above, please don’t hesitate to speak to one of us.

We also have a variety of mental health related organisations/ charities attending our event. With the likes off, Get Warrington TalkingSean’s PlaceMind MovesEvolving MindsetReal Talk Barber ShopSefton CVS and more. We are encouraging all attendees to get to know more about each charity and each other. You will be inspired and moved by what you will discover.

We kindly ask any organisation to wear their uniform or have any other way in which people know who you are and can interact with you. There will be time during the walk to outline who you are, if you wish to do so, please contact us as soon as possible.

Parking

Ocean Plaza are kindly allowing us to use their car park for free till 8am, please park within the Matalan area (PR8 1RY) with the walk ending around this location.

Other parking alternatives are within the area.

Expectations

It is undoubtedly going to be a cold morning, we expect all attendees to dress appropriately for the prevailing weather conditions. Please carry extra warm clothing with you. This means hats, gloves, scarfs, warm socks, jumpers etc. Umbrellas may be useful if it’s raining and not windy. Suitable footwear should be worn ie walking boots or running shoes.

Morrisons have kindly donated some bottled water which will be available during the walk. We also expect all attendees to bring their own and possibly some snacks.

If you do not wish to be in any videos or photos that could be shared online please do let us know.

So far we have up to 60 attendees and we hope to see this number on the day.

Joe’s Giants wish you all the best and would like to thank each individual for your support. Please don’t hesitate to contact our team if you have any further enquiries towards our walk.

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.

See you on the 27th
