Old Man of Coniston

Join Joe’s Giants as we ascend an all time favourite, The Old Man of Coniston. A true classic in many eyes which can be sighted from Southport shore on a good day. This beautiful mountain stands tall and keeps a watchful eye over Coniston below, with 360 degree panoramic views of pure goodness, this old timer is one not to be missed. Our guides will lead the way and share stories and knowledge throughout as they ascend, answering any questions and providing a conversation where it may be needed.

If weather conditions are set to be severe, we will inform all attendees prior to the event on what to bring and/or if any changes to routes or plans are made.

Parking at Walna Scar, Payment required. The road up to Walna Scar is quite steep to start, but manageable by any vehicle. Parking at the bottom of the steep road is also an option, but then a walk up the road to the car park is required. Please bare this in mind on arrival.
