Melbreak and Scale Force

Join Joe’s Giants as we visit the Lake Districts highest single drop waterfall, at 170ft which is nearly 52m, this waterfall is a true masterpiece hidden within a shallow gorge. To reach this fall we will ascend up and over Melbreak taking in outstanding views of buttermere, and views that reach southern Scotland on good visibility days. After descending Melbreak we’ll take a very short detour to visit the gorge for snacks and a rest before returning via a magnificent valley. Our experienced guides will lead the day, sharing conversation and knowledge throughout!

If weather conditions are set to be severe, we will inform all attendees prior to the event on what to bring and/or if any changes to routes or plans are made.
