Langdale Pike Sunrise Walk

The sunrise at Langdale Pikes is often considered to be one of the most beautiful in the Lake District. It is a stunning sight as the sun rises on a clear horizon, illuminating the surrounding landscape and demonstrating the infamous ‘golden hour’. On a clear day, you can see for miles across the Lake District and the surrounding mountains and hills. The sky often turns pink and orange as the sun rises and casts its light on the landscape. The views from the top of Langdale Pikes are particularly impressive, with the panoramic views of the Lake District and the nearby Langdale Valley.

The Langdale area has been home to much quarrying throughout the 19th century, and the rock taken from the area was used to build roads, bridges and walls throughout the region. The area is also highly popular with climbers, as the peaks and rock here provided a great challenge.
