Blencathra via Sharp Edge

Blencathra is a mountain of beauty and history, offering stunning views and thrilling scrambles. Whether you are a seasoned walker or a novice, a visit to Blencathra and Sharp Edge is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
Blencathra stands at a height of 868 metres (2,848 ft) and is the seventh-highest peak in the Lake District. It is a highly popular fell for walkers and scramblers due to its classic shape and stunning views.
The summit of Blencathra is a flat, grassy plateau, and it offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. From the summit you can see a full panoramic view of all the Lake District has to offer. The mountain is also a great spot for wildlife spotting, with a variety of birds and animals living in the area. On a good day when the thermals are rising, many paragliders can also be seen.
